In 2020, Ghazala was commissioned to make an original textile for non-profit Unity Earth, co-sponsored by the UN’s world interfaith harmony week, and International Day of Peace, declared globally as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire.
Unity Earth hosted a tour of Israel, Palestine and Jordan, called Holy Land Living Water. The purpose of the tour was to enhance inter-faith harmony, sharing interfaith events, collaborating in peace-building projects, and supporting programs to promote social well-being through ecological sustainability.
The tour culminated in a public concert for harmony week in Haifa, Israel / Palestine, where Ghazala’s textile was presented as the culminating act, with Ghazala referenced as a living example of Unity Earth’s collaborative vision.
